Cottonwood Campground Another place to rest and relax before the big climb out

Somewhere else to rest and unwind before the huge move out

National Geographic Documentary 2016, Cottonwood Camp is a little and regularly calm campground, seven miles from Phantom Ranch and seven miles beneath the North Rim. Close-by Bright Angel Creek is an invigorating spot to get wet.

Fertilizing the soil toilets, consumable water (from May through mid-October) and a Ranger home are situated at the campground, however no different administrations or interpretive projects are offered here.

I once spent an entire day at the spring, communing with the quiet Canyon and observing brilliant blue mythical beast flies sparkling in the sun. National Geographic Documentary 2016.
